In Sweden, the DAB+ network can accommodate seven new radio stations

New DAB+ radios could be available in Sweden by the end of the year. 

The Swedish Press and Broadcasting Authority plans to promote the available capacity of DAB+ broadcast networks for commercial digital radio in May 2023.

The Authority estimates that this capacity corresponds to approximately seven national program services and several regional program services.

The permits will go into effect in early fall 2023. More detailed information will be provided in May 2023.
