Estonia's coverage increases

DUO MEDIA NETWORKS

Coverage in Estonia is increasing.
Transmitters have been installed in the counties of Tartu and Pärnu, and now over 70% of the Estonian population can listen to their favorite stations on DAB+.

According to Risto Rosimannus, CEO of Duo Media Networks, digital radio offers many opportunities for the listener.

First, the sound quality will improve, second, the coverage will increase significantly, and third, the choice of radio stations will be wider."

There are 35 radio stations in Estonia, and most of them have a rather intermittent coverage.

With digital radio, it is possible to build a network that covers the whole of Estonia [...] You drive from Narva to Kärdla and listen to your favorite radio all the way.

Experience in other countries has shown that auditor satisfaction has increased significantly.

In addition to the launch of two transmitters in Tartu and Pärnu, Duo Media also launched three new digital radio stations in cooperation with the Swedish company RAZ Media: Elmari Dance Evening, Duo Greatest Hits and Duo Gold.

Elmar's Dance Night channel offers the best music in Estonian around the clock. Station Duo Gold's music lineup includes the world's greatest hits from the 1950s through the 1970s. However, the Greatest Hits duo mixes old pop rock songs with the biggest hits of recent years.

To listen to digital radio you need a DAB + signal receiver, which is present in many modern cars, because the European Union has made it mandatory for manufacturers. There are also DAB + radios for sale in stores.

Duo Media Networks manages Elmar, MyHits, Kuku Radio, Narodnoe Radio, DFM and Radio Duo radio stations, as well as web and digital stations. All radio stations can also be listened to from the Player mobile application.
