Slovakia

Towercom, in cooperation with the public broadcaster, has expanded the availability of DAB+ radio.

Borský Mikuláš was added to the existing transmitters in Bratislava, Košice, Žilina, Banská Bystrica, Nitra, Trenčín, Rimavská Sobota and Dunajská Streda.

The transmitter Borský Mikuláš - Šaštín Stráže covers the area from Záhorie to the Czech border. The advantage of DAB+ broadcasting is better sound quality and greater signal stability.

The listener can also easily find the names of songs, artists, programs, traffic or weather information and other useful information on the car's display.

The Borský Mikuláš transmitter is available on a frequency of 187.072 MHz (6D block) with a power of 2.5 kW. In a few months, the power should be increased to 5 kW.

With the launch of the Borský Mikuláš transmitter, the coverage of the population of the Slovak Republic with the T-DAB+ signal will exceed 60% while covering all regional cities.

The network includes the commercial stations Rádio Maria, Rádio Rock, Rádio Lumen and the RTVS channels - Rádio Slovensko, Rádio Regina, Rádio Devín, RádioFM, Rádio Patria, Rádio Litera, Rádio Junior, Rádio Pyramida and Radio Slovakia International.
