Clermont-Ferrand expands its radio offering

Clermont-Ferrand

Clermont-Ferrand's radio offering expands.
While 96% of new cars sold in the European Union are equipped with DAB+, this technology is also continuing to be deployed in France and its regions, and by this summer will cover 50% of the French population. Following on from Bayonne, Metz and Nancy, listeners in Clermont-Ferrand will now be able to tune in to Ado, Oüi FM, Fusion FM and Radio Scoop.

DAB+ makes listening to the radio easier and more enjoyable. All the stations available around you simply appear as a list on the receiver's screen. To choose Ado or Oüi FM, simply select the name of the radio station on a DAB+-compatible device. This solution also offers a more enjoyable radio experience: better digital-quality sound, a wider choice of radios and continuity of listening on the move. As with FM, DAB+ radio reception is completely free of charge.

This summer, Radio Scoop and Fusion FM are further expanding their territory. In addition to their historic FM frequencies in Clermont-Ferrand and Vichy (98.8 FM), listeners can now tune in to stations in the Puy-de-Dôme, Allier and Cantal regions (Issoire, Thiers, Saint-Flour, Moulins and Clermont-Ferrand) on DAB+. In the coming weeks, the towns of Vichy and Montluçon will be covered by DAB+ technology.
Since January 2020, all cars must be fitted with DAB+-compatible car radios. In addition, numerous DAB+-compatible receivers (for installation at home or in the office) and Bluetooth speakers are on sale at very affordable prices in all hi-fi stores in this region.
